Additions and updates
Always weigh the importance of additional information and, if necessary, rewrite the entire article . If the new matter is more important than the old point of the matter or equally important, bring it to the beginning.
The freshness and interest of the information also increase its news value. Weigh whether the new information pushes past the old tip.
Select from the story version menu whether the story has been updated or supplemented. In the note field of the version, tell us what changes have been made.

New information can only be added to the last story if it is less important than everything previously told.
If you complete the story so that the top of the story and the essential content remain as before, select completed from the menu. This tells the customer that even the previous versions are still valid for the magazine.
If the new story contains fresh information, for example the situation has changed, state in the version note field when the story was updated. This tells the customer the time when the information was received and that the previous versions are no longer up to date.
UPDATED AT 8:30 PM, 500 DEAD
If the article has been updated with a new tip, mark it in the note field.
UPDATED AT 8:30 PM, NEW TIP
If the title of the story changes, a reference to the previous update is added to the note field.
TITLE CHANGED, PREVIOUS TITLE WAS…
The updated final versions are especially necessary in the evening, when some of the magazines are already closed while the events are still in progress. Make updates frequently enough so that the magazines get the freshest possible version on their pages.
Together with the desk, inform the customers about whether there are any further additions to the articles. Stick to the announced schedule and the length of the stories.
